Come join artist and community engager, Dawn DeAno, for a unique opportunity to paint your own customized 2’x2’ barn quilt. For the past year Dawn has been spearheading a county wide public art and heritage project called Stories to Tell—Barn Quilts of Boulder County. Her goal is to install 20 colorful barn quilts (painted replicas of quilt blocks mounted to barns) by the end of 2017. You can see her work at both Isabelle Farm and Three Leaf Farm.

This workshop will begin with a brief history of barn quilts. After that you will get to choose your own pattern and color scheme from our selection. You will learn how to draw the design on the primed wood and tape off sections to get clean straight lines. You will end up with a beautiful finished work of art to be hung inside or outside!

Pachamama Farm & Wellness has chosen the beautiful pattern below for our historic barn (pictured above).

Dawn will provide all the materials. You bring your enthusiasm, curiosity and three small containers for extra paint if you don’t finish your project.

Ages 10 years old and up welcome!

Cost: $50.00 per person
