Harvest Festival with Special Guest Dance 2B Free

Event Date: September 19,2015
Event Time: 2:00 pm- 10:00 pm

Save the date for Pachamama Farm’s 3rd annual Harvest Festival! We will be celebrating the Fall Equinox and the fullness of the season. There will be delicious and nourishing farm fresh food, live music from local bands, including Steepland String Band (with our very own Alex Wissing!), hayrides, herb garden tours, and more!

We are excited to host special guest, Dance 2B Free, for the launch of their Indiegogo campaign. Dance 2B Free is a local 501c3 whose mission is to share the healing power of dance with women in prison. Lucy Wallace, owner of Alchemy of Movement, introduced Dance 2B Free’s pilot program at the Denver Women’s Correctional Facility in July of 2015. In just the first month, the dance class grew from 8 to 55 women! They are currently teaching live classes once a week on Sundays, in addition to implementing their DVD program where the inmates can attend the class during the week. The Indiegogo campaign is raising money for teaching and travel time, DVD editing/ distribution for expansion into other facilities and for research into the efficacy of the benefits provided by dance with women suffering from trauma and poverty.
